Is it safe to replace the fan in T43 with the fan for T42?

I have a T43 model number 2668-6DU w/ ATI X300 graphics,
is it possible to replace the fan w/ the one for T42 w/ ATI R9600M?

I think the size of the two fans are identical, the only concern I have is not knowing if X300 and R9600M has the same height,
and if the fan's copper part that covers GPU has the same thickness.

I would say that is OK to do that. Since I've a T42p with a T43p heatsink (M24: FRU 26R9074) with FireGL T2 graphic card.

You may want to look on eBay for FRU 26R8197 since it covers the northbridge chip too and you would have a cooler T43.
