Current integrated EV-DO cards work with Rev. A?

#1 Post by hodad » Tue Nov 21, 2006 8:20 pm

Does anyone know if the current integrated EV-DO cards will work when Verizon upgrades to the new EV-DO Rev. A? If not, would it be difficult to swap them out? Thanks.

Yes, the current cards which are Rev 0 will work with the Rev A but you will not get the Rev A capability. That is, Rev A is about 30% faster download and 6-8 x upload and you will not get that.

EVDO Rev A. built-in is coming out with Santa Rosa platform which is 2nd quarter of 2007.
