Seeing the ATA controller (Intel) is using the default drivers from XP Installation, dating back to 2001, I searched and found the updated drivers that should help all T2x users with the Intel controller.
According to the little help that comes with the installation:
Info and Download: http://tinyurl.com/8qvhxThe Intel® Application Accelerator is a desktop-based software package designed specifically to increase the performance of applications and computer systems running Intel® Pentium® III or Pentium® 4 processor. This is achieved by use of several methods:
1. Intel® Application Accelerator Driver - This technology increases the performance of the Input/Output subsystem transfer rate, greatly enhancing the system speed.
2. (is Adv. Prefetch mode applicable to Pentium 4, not to us...)
Anyone who tries please report back with results. I haven't run any benchmarks yet, but so far everything's fine.
EDIT: Sorry about the confusion and forgot to mention: Only v. 2.2 will work on our machines, as T23's controller is 82801CAM.
EDIT 14/01/07: There have been two reports of these drivers increasing the time for a resume from hibernate. For details:
