T60 with GMA GPU for work - Dock with PCI-E GPU for gaming?

#1 Post by Seeb » Wed Nov 22, 2006 12:30 pm

I'm thinking about buying a T60 with a GMA GPU which probably
will be very silent and have a longer battery time than a T60 with
a X1300 or X1400.

On the weekends I am able to play games with the PCI-E GPU in
my docking station.

Q1: Is this advisable ?
Q2: How is the docking station connected to the tp?
Q3: Any PCI-E cards recommended?

PS:
I know that there aren't "really" fast GPU's that suit into that
docking station. I just need the performance of a X1400 or
X1600 because I play relatively old games only.

Thanks
