Website customization Processor rating

#1 Post by liquidous » Wed Nov 22, 2006 11:44 pm

Why doesn't lenovo put the processor rating in the customization instead of just listing the code name of the processor.

ie T7600 instead of T7600 (2.33ghz)

Maybe because there are other factors that affect a processor's real performance besides how fast the processor is rated?
A bigger number is not always better.

I understand that, then why not include the informaiton you speak of to help one reach a finalization to the customization . i personally do not know what tXXXX means, i had to go look it up.

would be nice if they posted it, or relevant information.

so, now that you said what you said, what proc do you prefer :)

Opteron 2220. Not much good for notebooks, though! 8)

figured youd keep it relevant to the thinkpad.

thought you were going to suggest another proc over the t7600

I actually support your suggestion of including the GHz speeds on the web site. Other than that ... faster is generally better, but any of the current ThinkPad processors are more than sufficient for me. I would just prefer a Core 2 Duo to allow me to run a 64-bit OS in the future.
