Wireless icon

My T41p has started to leave the green wireless power on icon under the screen on even when I turn wireless off (Fn F5). Any thoughts how I can fix this?

sorry i don't have any clue as i don't use access connections. try updating access connections to the latest version. but becareful there is a specific way you have to do it, which I don't remember b/c it's been waaaayyy to long. I personally let the xp wireless zero config handle my wifi.
