Hi

Exactly the same here with a T42, though mine only goes to 5%.

And again when pressing "ok" update turns off as you say.

Tried it many times with no result. So has anyone any answers?

It's really wierd becouse the same System Upgrade a two months ago works fine. Yesterday I instal fresh WinXP from Service Partition and something's broken :)

Well I Upgrade software by manual downloading drivers and soft, but upgrade by System Upgrade is easier and faster.

Try using the software installer instead of the system updater, you can download it at the lenovo site. It performs basically the same functions as the updater, but I think right now is a little more reliable.

I've had the same. Did a complete reinstall of SU without result.

But if I remember correctly, don't click OK and wait for a LONG time, then click OK and wait for a long time and SU pops up again....

Okay, I am aware this is a really old post but nevertheless, I'll give the solution for anybody who needs it.

It's quite easy, the servers are offline!
There is a new version controlled by lenovo and you have to download system update V2.0.. that'll fix your problems.

This also happens with V2.0. The solution is to wait it out. I don't know how long you have to wait, but I do know if you click OK before System Update has updated itself, it won't work. If you wait long enough, you can click OK and System Update will indeed restart itself and start downloading updates.

Maybe in a future release it will tell you when it is done updating. Maybe a progress bar? Maybe disable OK until it is ok to click it?

I waited about 20 min before pushing ok. It worked after that.
