Network card Problems. ...HELP!!

#1 Post by zoltrix » Fri Nov 24, 2006 7:47 am

Hi all, Im installing KYOCERA pcima EVDO wirlesss network cards in the laptops at work on T22`s and T23 most went well, except for 2 of the T23's that have built in wireless cards, we are running Windows 98SE on the laptops, what happens is on the 2 T23 is, once the card is in the pcima slot and you boot up, it just hangs on a black screen after the splash screen, hangs with a flashing cursor, and wont do nothing. If I remove the card and boot up win98 it goes fine, and the card will work fine If i insert it in the pcima slot during the win98 session, any Idea why it would hang on boot up with the card in? and why it only happens to some computers?
Thanks for any input.

if you can spare any one of the 2 built-in network adapters, try disabling it. the ethernet you can disable in the bios, the WLAN you'd have to physically remove (AFAIK)
