PC Doctor - DOS

#1 Post by ibbo » Fri Nov 24, 2006 3:16 pm

Hi, guys:

It seems that the Active Protection for my unit has failed and the program tells me to check PC Doctor - DOS - HDD Active Protection Test to see if the sensor has failed. How do I get to PC Doctor - DOS?

Thanks for your help.

-Jon

PC Doctor for DOS is available from the Software/Drivers download matrix at this link:

X60 Software/Drivers

Scroll down to the Diagnostics heading and there are two ways to get this program; 5 bootable floppies or 1 bootable CD.

For grins just try rebooting. It complained to me once that the sensor had failed and to run pc-doctor. After rebooting the laptop everything was fine. I assumed some process monitoring the sensor got wedged.

Got the same error message a few times as well. PC-Doctor never detected a problem and rebooting would always heal it. Looks like a software glitch rather than a hardware issue.
