Hi All,
I'm an Industrial Designer who has been waiting for Lenovo to release the X60T before taking the plunge. I've done a bunch of research, and finally placed my pre-order a few days ago. Very excited!
One problem, and I'm hoping to get some advice - the invoice Lenovo sent me mistakenly put me down for the standard XGA version instead of the XGA+ high res version. Since I spend most of my time sketching, doing layout and dealing with product photos, higher res seemed like the best path.
However, I've read in previous posts that the XGA indoor/outdoor version is much brighter. I have no need for multi-touch, or using my fingers to interact with the screen - but wanted to make sure there aren't any major drawbacks to the XGA+ version before correcting the order error.
Is there any reason why I should stay away from the higher res version and opt for the regular XGA. My eyes are still good, and I also prefer more screen real estate...
Thanks for any input, and for the great Thinkpad resource!

there was some comment about the wording of the listing on the lenovo website..
i pointed out that the language was a bit confusing..
so they will be correcting the wording..
so far, i believe, both dispplays are the same..
it would almost seem to be a no brainer..
both are designed to be used in the sunlight thus an IPS display is called for..
i would not accept the XGA display..

Thanks Bill - problem solved. The salesperson mentioned yesterday that the XGA+ version isn't available for preorder, and that I should re-place the order after the 28th online. So that's the plan.
Note: I notice you use the word "sysop" in your .sig. I haven't seen that term in a while - not since the good old 300/1200/2400 baud days! Ah, Applecat modems, ae lines... nostalgia time :-)
