R40 NMB keyboard experiences

#1 Post by mmmkay » Fri Nov 24, 2006 10:41 pm

I sorta noticed there was this big NMB vs chicony keyboard discussion in the search for replacement keyboards.

My new machine came with a NMB keyboard rather than the Chicony. It definitely feels different, more effort is required to push the keys to the extent where it makes typing a little difficult when my fingers are cold.

And they make that clicky noise :)

The good is that they have an aluminium bottom shield which dissipates the CPU's heat a little better than the plastic on the chicony. That's about the only difference I can tell visually.

Oh well..
