What brand of 5400rpm drives does Lenovo typically use?

#1 Post by jkozlow3 » Sun Nov 26, 2006 7:04 pm

I'm just wondering if Lenovo typically uses one of the better 5400rpm drives or if they use one of the slower models/brands.

I ordered my Z61m with a 5400rpm 100gb but now with the student/alumni deal I just found out about, it would be cheaper for me to re-order with a 7200rpm 100gb drive.

Only downside of course is I would lose 2 weeks of time if I order again, as my original order should be shipping soon and I'd have to start the waiting process all over.

Thanks!

Hitachi mostly. I've heard of Lenovo using Seagate, but I haven't seen one.

I've seen three so far Hitachi, Fujitsu and now Seagate on the newer ThinkPads.
