identifying a t42 w/Radeon 9000 chip

#1 Post by besonen » Mon Nov 27, 2006 6:54 pm

if a t42 has a Radeon 9000 chip will this information be reflected in the type and model number in any way? i.e., is there anyway i can determine the graphics chip based on the type and model number?

thanks,
david

Enter the model# here: http://www.ibm.com/products/finder/us/e ... g=ddfinder and you will get basic information about the machine.

thanks Orevin.

i figured there was a way i could determine the graphics chip if i had the exact type+model.

what i'm hoping is the case however is that there is some rhyme and reason to the type+model nomenclature wrt the graphics chip. i'm hoping this is the case because i'd like be able to search (froogle, ebay, etc.) for only t42s with the Radeon 9000 chip.
