Gak is right. An enormous download for a silly little UI. And worse yet, .NET 3.0 is different from .NET 2.0 is different from .NET 1.0.

But CHC/NHC is so good that I put up with the gakkiness. :)

I used RMClock on an Athlon system years ago:
http://cpu.rightmark.org/products/rmclock.shtml

IBM TP T41p (1.7G/1GB/100GB-7k100/DVD-CDRW/SXGA+/BT)
IBM TP T22 (900/512/40/DVD/CDRW/14")
IBM TP A31 (1.8GHz/512MB/40GB/DVD-CDRW/15" SXGA)
For sale: n/a
WTB: n/a

thanks Orevin. i'll look into RMClock.

i'll probably look around for other ways to undervolt too. i'm pretty sure i've read about other solutions in the past.

I have used RMClock v1.6 to undervolt a T42 for over a year now. It has been extremely stable.

I prefer the RMClock UI to the CHC/NHC one, but unfortunately it is unable to read the CPU temperature on my X31. Can it read T42 CPU temperatures?

RMClock v1.6 doesn't read cpu temperature. Haven't tried newer versions.

Since I use tpfancontrol to read cpu/gpu/aps temperatures, it's not an issue here.

RMClock 2.2 does have a temperature read capability but it displays N/A ... I don't really need fan control, and I would prefer to keep running a single utility rather than two. So I expect I will stay with CHC/NHC for the time being.
