Little a, weren't you the one asking about whether to get PC2-4200 or PC2-5300 for your T43? So you bought this 1GB 4200 stick and were disappointed?

whats the difference between the pc2-4200 and pc2-5300.

latency?

so 4200 would be faster?

On a motherboard designed for 4200, 5300 and 4200 modules perform at the same speed. However, on a 5300 motherboard, 4200 modules would slow it down.

understood. so how does one know what MB is in their laptop at the time of configuration online so they know what RAm to pair with it?
