Free Vista Business

#1 Post by steveg47 » Thu Nov 30, 2006 7:52 am

This looks like a pretty good deal from Microsoft for getting a free copy of Vista Business (or Office 2007).
Seems all you have to do is listen to 3 Webcasts. It's for residents of the US only.

Before you enter your private info, try checking out this thread at Fatwallet on different opinions on such offer.

edit: Seems like some people are getting confirmed e-mails.

I've already rolled the dice on this one. I didn't have to submit any info that the could not get from the phone book except a hotmail address.
I read up on it and it seems legit but I could be wrong
I'll let you know how it goes.

I read about this in the 64-bit MS newsgroup or their Vista newsgroup and it seems like people are responding.

I have finished 6 webcast for Vista.
and another 5 webcasts for Office.
Congratulations! You’ve completed the number of Webcasts or vLabs required to receive a free, fully-licensed copy of Microsoft Office Professional 2007. Once we’ve confirmed that you meet the eligibility requirements stated in the offer details below we will ship your gift within 6-8 weeks of the release to manufacturing of Microsoft Office Professional 2007. While you’re waiting, why not check out additional Webcasts of vLabs to further your skills?

I viewed three 'casts but their status just shows now as 'Pending.' Is there another step to tell MS I have done my homework and want my door prize?

It can take 24 hours or more for the pending status to be changed to completed.
