Screen Refresh Rate

#1 Post by Kwak » Thu Nov 30, 2006 8:44 am

What are the screen refresh rate for the 1024 and the 1440?
Thanks in advance.

edit: This thread http://forum.thinkpads.com/viewtopic.ph ... fresh+rate
lists the refresh rate for an external display, would it be the same for the notebook screen?

All LCD displays should, with very few exceptions, be set to 60Hz refresh rate.

I can usually tell when someone has selected 75 Hz refresh on their LCD: when Start->Shutdown is selected, the background in XP dims out to a gray. While that is happening, the display will flicker in a bizarre pattern if anything other than 60Hz is selected. If is common in offices where CRT have been upgraded to LCD, and the person doing the upgrade simply unplugged the CRT and plugged the VGA cable into the new LCD without changing the video card's refresh rate.
Apathy is on the rise, but nobody seems to care.
