No Core 2 Duo on X60 yet. But otherwise I personally love the X series portability (not to mention quiet operation!). You really need to decide whether you want/need SXGA+ (1400x1050), higher-performance graphics or the full-size keyboard (X is slightly smaller). Processors, memory, disks etc are pretty similar.sagara wrote:I did the unthinkable and tried to replace my T41 with the new MacBook with the Intel D2C CPU. I even got Parallels software so that I could load XP and other apps on the MacBook that are not available for Mac. But after 2 days I finally sent the MacBook back - long story but basically I was ending up only using a Virtual Machine PC on a Mac. Might as well stick with a Thinkpad (I've had a 600E, 600X, and a T23 previously). But I'm not sure where to go from here. I main apps I use are Word and Photoshop CS2. Thinking of a X60 or X60s as at home I use an external monitor with wireless keyboard and mouse, so the not-at-home portabilty of the X60(s) is appealing.
Advice welcome.

X60s has ultra-low voltage CPUs and (in some configurations) ultralight LCD screens. You can check tabook.pdf to see the different models, including weight and battery life (prices you'll need to check on the web site).sagara wrote:Just what is the difference between a X60 and a X60s apart from different individual configurations?
