Getting my T23 to power my LCD widescreen...

#1 Post by BlueDevilTide » Fri Dec 01, 2006 6:34 pm

Hey, all.

I just got a 19" LCD monitor, wide screen. Love it. Buuut...my 16mb S3 SuperSavage might not cut it.

Using UltraMon, I am able to use the TP LCD and the external as an extended desktop. I can get a 1600x1200 resolution on the native 1400x900 screen. I realize 1600x1200 is standard res...I don't think I can get the T23 to display widescreen. It's just stretched, but I can hardly notice, when it's the extended desktop. (Meaning, TP shows 1024x768, then Monitor has an additional 1600x1200.)

BUT...if I just want to use the monitor, I can only "mirror" the TP screen. Meaning my 1400x900 screen is just showing a nasty 1024x768 image stretched a little bit. I don't mind the stretch, but I'd rather be pumping out the higher resolution 4:3 image. How do I fix this?

Thanks a lot. I like Dual Monitors but not always. I want to use the new LCD as my sole monitor sometimes, and have it run at high res.
