How to skip XP login screen?

I am configuring a z60t for a friend....I cannot seem to get rid of the xp login screen even tho there is no password (I have to hit enter to continue into windows)..I would like it to just boot up to windows. I tried uninstalling client security, I disabled the fingerprint reader, but so far xp login keeps coming up. If anyone knows the solution please advise. thanks

When I go to user accounts, it says that fast logon is disabled...

Some programs disable fast logon and fast user switching as part of their installation routine. Bypassing this may have adverse effects. YMMV

Have you considered the fact that there are NO circumstances whatever today for an OS to be bootable without a strong password?

Funny thing - I have 2 Z60t's, I was able to disable it on my machine but not on this other one....yet.

Thanks for the above tip...it worked kindof. The login screen still came up briefly, but then windows continued to load. However, when I turned off the auto reconnect in Access Connections, the screen totally went away. Thanks again.

Which tip did you use? The one from the Microsoft KB?

Tweak UI, auto logon, powertoys on the MS website.

A much easier way is

Start --> Run --> control userpasswords2 (ENTER)

Uncheck the box Users must enter a user name and password

Highlight the user you want the autologin, click OK. Windows should ask the password of the user set for autologin, which in your case is blank. Just hit enter and you're set.
