Dothan upgrade ?

#1 Post by OddOne » Sun Dec 03, 2006 9:26 am

I have been looking into doing some upgrades to do for my T30.

Would an Upgrade to a 400mhz fsb 478 pin dothan be better than a 2.4 ghz P4 cpu?

I have a 1.8 ghz now and the Dothan would be about the same in mhz but the Dothan would have the newer core and more cache.

What are the thoughs on performance of the Dothan?

say a 1.8ghz dothan with 2meg cache
vs
2.4 ghz p4 with 512k

the dothan would generate less heat also hhmmm

let me know what you think

Do you think this CPU would perform any better than a 1.8ghz P4M

Sorry you cannot installed it will be pin compatible but not electrical compatible.

You will have to stick to the P4m.
