I have been asked to look at a friends TP 380 ED. I was told that they couldn't get anything to work at all but I have managed to charge the battery and switch on the computer after locating the power switch.
The computer does the initial POST but stops for a password to be input, is there anyway that this password could be bypassed or reset?
All help is gratly appreciated.
Password at startup
Re: Password at startup
It depends on the type of password. There are three from memory. If it's the hard disk password, you have to replace the hard drive as there's no way to bypass it. If it's the supervisor password, you have to replace the system board as there's again no way to override it. The other password (BIOS?) can usually be overriden by shorting a jumper on the system board.statto wrote:The computer does the initial POST but stops for a password to be input, is there anyway that this password could be bypassed or reset?
