BACK-UPS

#1 Post by Truthfinder » Tue Dec 05, 2006 11:30 pm

Can anyone direct me on what software / program works best with a T60 for doing a backup to DVD. I tried Ghost V 9.0 and had nothing but aggravation. The backup went great, however, it failed to do a restore. I have added software to my new ThinkPad and would like to make a backup of the system as it now stands.

Thanks in advance, Steve

Hmmm. You might be able to use Ghost 9 still. You could create a second partition. Have the image created on the extra partition and then burn a copy when you're ready.

I basically do that but move the image off the partition and onto an external harddrive.

I use PowerQuest DriveImage 2002. Still works like a charm and yes, it can record images on DVDs.
