6 cell battery life (x) for T60: poll

#1 Post by leo2002 » Wed Dec 06, 2006 8:36 am

Dear all,

My T60 with 6 cell only lasts ~ 2.5 hours , with a usual work condition: wireless on, basic web surfing using firefox and little google docs&spreadsheet editing.

How is the battery life of your lovely T60 in most usual use condition for you?

Please share the information for guidance for new buyers.

For 9-cell poll, please visit this thread:

Thanks in advance.!!

I also hear there is noticable difference in battery time between integrate graphics models and the ones with ATi.

Can somebody post results on both for comparsion please.

what about screen brightness? that's a big factor when it comes to battery life.

Even yesterday I got 3hrs 20min with wireless on, heavy browsing, matlab running in background and display brightness at 2/7. 15" display sucks power I guess - did you try running at a reduced (say 2 or 4/7) brightness level?

Oh, I'm sorry if my X60s can do up to 8 with wireless off and 6 with it on, both under average use.
