backup with vista

Has anyone used and was able to restore single files with vista's backup? I am able to do a backup to another sata drive in the bay. it completes successfully, but when u try and restore it says no backup exists, even though it lists the backup there on drive D.

No errors here with complete pc backup as with the vista backup tool.

Tried both of them. Working fine and on Vista will replace my Acronis and Rescue&Recovery.
