Can PCMCIA wireless card be integrated with Access Connect?

#1 Post by uberT » Fri Dec 08, 2006 10:06 am

I am in the process of replacing a fried PCI wireless card in my T30. For the interim, I've been able to install a Linksys WPC11 wireless in the T30, but am forced to use Windows Network Connections to get it to work.

Is there any (simple) way to get Access Connections to recognize the Linksys PCMCIA card as an "adapter" so I can continue to use my networking profiles while I repair my PCI card?

The only adapters A-C currently recognizes is the ethernet and the (fried) wireless adapter.

Thanks.

I found out this afternoon that un-installing and re-installing Access Connections permits the PCMCIA wireless card to be recognized as an available adapter. :) Downside: it appears XP will not permit my Linksys card to be configured by AC, only by Windows. This means that a few of the options we're accustomed to seeing aren't available via AC.
