How to reenter the Serial Number in BIOS after SysBd replace

#1 Post by doodles113 » Sun Sep 05, 2004 2:26 am

Guys,

I'm a proud owner of a IBM T20 and a T30.

After three years of good services, one day the System Board of my T20 no longer turns on, for some reason.
After the replacement, the Serial Number on BIOS has been reset to 0000000,and the paths to re-enter the correct number i have used on my old TP 600, doesn't work.Since i'm having problems with the inventory system on my company's network, there 's a way to input the correct number?
Thanks in advance for any help,
Eduardo

For the T40's there is an option entering an user-customized model number with the Bios update.
T40p 2373-g1g: 1.6 GHz, 1536 MB RAM, 160 GB @ 5400 rpm drive, 64 MB Video, IBM a/b/g II, CD-RW/DVD Combo II, M10 Fan, Ubuntu 8.04
