possible short in T23 sound?

Hello,

Now that i have the T23 up and running i have noticed that every now and then when i take it out of its bag or hold it in a certain spot on the left side near the headphone plugs whenever i will start to play a sound the volume plays at maximum unless i mute it or turn it all the way down to zero. Turning up and down the volume doesnt change it. I have noticed if i push on the headphone plugs in a certain place it stops. Anyone know what could be causing this short?
