T22 Freezing Up

#1 Post by cyanide959 » Sun Dec 10, 2006 8:59 pm

Hi all, sometimes my T22 freezes up. The screen stays static and does not go blank. My cpu is not overheating because I monitor that so that leaves the beggining of the end of my 6 year old hard drive. The hard drive light doesn't blink when this happens and I can't hear it so is it time for a new hard drive? It happens maybe 3 or 4 times week and I just reboot and its fine again. I have my laptop on at least 3-4 hours a day. Any opinions?

Could be hard drive, memory or something else on the motherboard. I would recommend downloading memtest86+ (memory diagnostic) and/or PC Doctor (memory, hard drive, CPU, systemboard and more diagnostic) and running them to see if you can identify any problem areas.
