Ultrabay slim battery error

I have an ultrabay slim battery which, when plugged in, causes the battery light to blink orange, and for which Battery Information reports "ERROR". Anything I can do to get it fixed, or is it a lost cause?

Just picked up an ultrabay battery and it seems to work good. Only strange event is once the ultrabay battery is fully charged, the main battery...
