Will the thinkpad office executive sleeve fit the X31? Anyone using it with an X31, please post if it fits!

I don't know what the office executive sleeve is, but if you are seeking a sleeve for the X31, there is a neoprene sleeve made for a small
Sony Vaio notebook (it has a 12 or 13" screen) that fits perfectly and will stretch to accomodate the notebook with the accessory underside battery as well. It also comes with a handy smaller zip up neoprene bag for the adapter which fits the small 56 watt Thinkpad adapter and its cords. This item sells for around $15, certainly no more than $20, in the USA. I used it for my old X31 and now use it for my X32.

Sony Sleeve part #

#3 Post by Ken Fox » Sat Dec 16, 2006 12:28 pm

I found the packaging for the Sony neoprene sleeve and adapter case I referred to in my above post. It is: PCGACCN2, or PCGA-CCN2, take your pick, both appear on the packaging. It is for the R505, V505 series Sony Vaio notebooks and made by (or packaged by) Sony.

This fits the X3x series and 56watt adapters perfectly. If the form factor of the X60 series is similar, it will fit those also. I looked long and hard for something like this before I found it. To my knowledge Lenovo doesn't sell a product similar to this.

I couldn't find any for sale on quick googling and pricegrabbering, but if you put the search terms "Sony neoprene notebook" you will probably find an updated version since Sony continues to make subnotebooks.

My X31 just came, and the Thinkpad office executive (just google it up) fits it like a glove. Awesome fit.

Another good choice will be the Shoreline case for the 12" Powerbooks. They fit the X3x series quite nicely, have a zip-down flap that can be used to accomodate nearly all cable connections, and is very durable.
Proxima - X31 (2672-C2U)
Pegasus - X31 (2672-CXU)
Taurus - X24 (2662-MQU)
Nova - X41 Tablet (1869-CSU)
