Too good to be true? 2373KXU $2099 brand new at Amazon!

#1 Post by otto123 » Mon Sep 06, 2004 11:57 am

I've never posted here before but i,ve been checking this site out as i look for a T42p to replace my T40.

I've stumbled across this today, but obviously I am skeptical!

http://s1.amazon.com/exec/varzea/ts/exc ... 33-6949203

It is a new seller but they state they have 68 units in stock and they are brand new, never opened.

I'm tempted to buy one, with Amazon's purchase guarantee i figure i'm safe.

Has anyone here seen these? Any thoughts?

Thanks

"DANGER, WILL ROBINSON, DANGER!!!!"

This is Amazon "z" shops, not Amazon. This is a new buyer with no feedback. If something sounds too good to be true, guess what? I'd steer well clear of this.

However, if you pay through Amazon payments, they cover you for fraud up to $2,500.00 hmmmm.....

I tried to buy it. He says he takes Amazon payments - but Amazon says he does not. Looks dangerous.

Otto123,

Do you by some chance know the person that is selling these machines ?
Did you contact the seller and what was their response.

As you are intersested in buying one of these machines it would be interesting to learn the details of your transactions/communications with the seller.

Cheers.

Well, he never responded to my emails and you are only protected up to $250 if Amazon Payments is not an option so it looks like the saying is true........

If it is too good to be true it probably is!

Sorry to get everybody excited for nothing.

So, finally, everybody think that there is something wrong with that T42p? The prices sounds very good, expecially compared to the ones here in Italy.
Comments appreciated.

It sounds like a scam. That price is too cheap.
Send the seller an email, give him a link to this thread, and see what he says.

Vicishawn is a girl selling this laptop. I wrote her a week ago.
She replied, send some money and I will send it to Denmark !!!!
You can not pay with creditcard.

I´ll have none of it. Think it´s a scam.

If someone think otherwise or have got there laptop. Please make a post here.
