Howdy all,
Recently our company has started purchasing T60's with the type 2504 docks, and usb kyb. I have noticed more than a few that seem to have issues with the kyb either not working intermittently, or not working at all when coming out of PWP screen lock. I have upgraded to most current bios and installed kyb drivers from web. Some seem to be fine now, others still have issue. Same XPSP2 image on all of them, and same HW components.
Anyone else seen anything like this?
Regards, Jeff

Problem for me also
I also have problems using an external keyboard and mouse with the dock (is 2504 the mini-dock?). My dock is hooked up to a KVM which normally wants PS2 inputs, but I use a PS2 to USB so that the keyboard and mouse in theory will just reconnect without requiring a reboot. Sometimes it works, mostly it doesn't. I can typically get them going by pulling the USB connection out and plugging it back in again, which sort of negates the purpose of having a dock. Since there was some sort of USB related fix in BIOS 2.07 I tried that, but it hasn't made a difference. I also notice the keyboard and mouse sometimes don't work after a clean boot with the machine in the dock... in those cases, I might be working along fine with them, and then reboot the machine, and lose them, where I have to unplug/plug them back in again. I haven't gotten around to testing with a pure USB connection yet so I don't know if the problem is the dock or the PS2 to USB converter. I do know that if I just plug the PS2 to USB thing directly into the USB on the laptop itself, I have no problems with them, reboot or otherwise, so the dock itself is somehow related.
T60/2504 peripherals issues
I'm having the same difficulty, and mine are all USB devices. I never could get my Logitech trackball to work through my KVM, so I connected it directly into the dock, which works, but defeats the purpose of the KVM.
I still have an issue where if I'm working on the laptop alone, then re-dock (even with a fresh cold boot), the keyboard won't work until I un/replug the USB connection leading from the KVM.
I connected a wireless mouse into the KVM, and it works right all the time. Apparently, the dock has issuse with external keyboards and any pointing device that's not a mouse.
Looks like somebody needs to submit a bug to Lenovo.
