Was this something related to a machine alarm still on alert from when it hibernated with a battery level around 2%? Was another form of error or crash? Last thing I want is for something like that to happen in a classroom, and get 200 eyes right on me.
What the hell was that noise?!?T

Turned on my laptop after it went into hibernation earlier from an almost dead battery. It was fully charged at the time (had it sitting on the ac adapter since it went dead). I turned it on, and about 10-15 seconds later it was like a machine gun or bell sound along with a black screen. I think it happened before windows loaded up, but in any event had to turn it off holding in the power button for 5 seconds.

I don't quite understand about your definition. Did you run the computer on AC or battery when it produced the sound?own6volvos wrote:Turned on my laptop after it went into hibernation earlier from an almost dead battery. You obviously don't have a thinkpad, a thinkpad would never do such stupid things!
only joking haha,
well... it could have pretty much been anything right?
Bios Glitch or possibly the battery connector became dislodged?
