What do I do with my old PIII 700MHz processors?

#1 Post by babyman1737 » Sun Dec 17, 2006 7:50 pm

I have about 6 SL3Z8 PIII 700MHz processors from various T20's laying around. I'd rather put a couple to good use instead of throwing them away. Are there any dual processor boards or server boards that support this 495-pin processor?

Does anyone know if the TP600X can use these?

Shouldn't. I believe that all of the 600X systems uses the MMC-2 CPU module. I think the SL3Z8 is a micro (?) PGA package.

I had heard about MMC-2 processors but never seen one, so I just Googled up a photo of one and indeed, it looks very different than the processors used in the T2x series!
