Which Vista version do I order 32-bit or 64-bit?

#1 Post by iatacs19 » Sun Dec 17, 2006 8:50 pm

I received my T60p and I have Windows XP Pro.

I see that you can order your copy of Vista from Lenovo. I am not sure which one to get 32-bit or 64bit version?

I am confused as to which way the future is going... I know XP had/has 64-bit versions out, but they weren't very useful for the average consumer since there weren't many native 64-bit applications.

Any insights?

should be 32 bit, but you can go to 64 bit if your CPU is C2D

Still not many 64-bit apps. New apps are typically fully supported on 64-bit, though, and 64-bit-specific version should start trickling in soon. I'm waiting for 64-bit Photoshop! :)
