how to delete downloaded "system update2" packages

looking in c:\program files\lenovo\system update\session, i can see the install files for packages i download via SU2, when i used the old software installer, it put the files into c:\drivers and i could delete the files after they've been installed whilst leaving the 2 text files in that folder, where they are.

can i do the same to where SU2 stores the packages? i notice theres a XML file and a SER file, do i leave them where they are?
