I'm pretty sure they all do now. I've seen them on $500-600 HP's while walking around Staples, so I would assume that all new Thinkpads would come with them.
And if youre thinking about a Celeron-Based Thinkpad or one with less than a gig of ram, I woulnd't even think about trying to run Vista anyway.

A Celeron will run Vista (as you said, with Aero off), but based on my experiences it will still be sluggish. For the few days I ran Vista RTM on my X60s, it was a bit sluggish, even without Aero.smek wrote:Why would a Celeron based TP not run Vista? If you turn aero off you dont really need a lot.

You guys are talking about the "Designed for" sticker, right? How about the COA sticker?

I thought they were talking about the eligible for Vista Express Upgrade coupon. But you may be right about them discussing a Windows Vista Capable or Windows Vista Premium Ready sticker on the palmrest.

Windows Vista Premium Ready: A sticker with this phrase indicates that the PC can run Windows Vista with its most resource-intensive options, including the Aero interface. Better than Windows Vista Capable.
