Boot from ultrabay or usb HDD

#1 Post by brucewilsonpa » Sat Dec 23, 2006 6:56 pm

I have two backup HD, both with bottable WinXP Pro -- at least they would boot my T43p. On my T60p I cannot seem to get it to recognize the Docs & Settings folder on either of these HDD, and when I try to boot from the ultrabay HD I get the blue screen GPF. I really need to access these drives so I can transfer files, but don't know how. Can anyone help me figure out how to boot from one of them so I can do so? ....or to get rid of the "access denied" msg. when I try to open their docs & settings folders?

Thanks!

I am not sure about your booting problem. For the access denied problem, see following thread.

Thanks -- but this brought up another question -- how do you start a T60p in safe mode? I've tried the usual key combinations but they don't work, and I note that msconfig doesn't offer that as a choice..... this is frustrating!
