Monitor display turning off/darkening by itself.

#1 Post by Unregistered » Sat Dec 23, 2006 9:25 pm

I first saw this problem a month or so ago. It started as my screen became pure dark green. It disappears when I restart it.

It had appeared various times throughout the few months since I bought this laptop. It has now appeared as a black screen. I know that it didn't turn off because when I turn off the display during this state, the screen becomes darker.

The increments of the appearance of this problem appears around a few times a month.

Now it just appeared again but this time in less than 15 minutes.

What could be the problem? Should I send this back to the dealer?

I had the same problem, but it ocurred much less frequently. I took it in for warranty and they just updated the bios and video card drivers. I hope that its fixed, because my warranty runs out on March 3 / 07.
