volumn control keys don't work anymore

hi all.
i removed alot of software due to slow start up. i kept only rescue recovery and wireless connection software and it's much more faster now. but i discover that my sound control buttons dont work anymore

what is the thing that i removed that disable the sound control keys? (the 3 silver keys beside ESC)

I think you need the Hot Key

Thinkpad Hotkey Manager - TPHKMGR.EXE

And for the On-screen display (green bars) - TPONSCR.EXE
