WTB: Systemboards (2x) for TP A31P

#1 Post by friedrich-eugen » Thu Dec 28, 2006 7:14 pm

Hello,

I am forced to look for a new/only "slightly" used Systemboard for two of my TP,
IBM/Lenovo Replacement part Numbers: (A) 26P8432 or 26P8399 and (B) 26P8430 for a A31P Typ 2653-H6G and a A31P 2653-R5G as well as a 2653-RXX....

Any hint or offer? IBM/Lenovo gave me two prices: about 400€ for the G-type and more than 4 times of that (!!) for the (younger?) N-type board. I see no real explanation behind it and I doubt those prices do not vary from place to place. Payment (from Germany) could be arranged easily via paypal. My ebay-ID is (see below) friedrich-eugen.

Thanks in Advance for any help ... and a happy New Year to You all
Sincerely Yours

interesting..
a new user has forwarded to me an article about the A30 mainboard having some sort of problem with the GPU possibly caused by flex induced microcracking..

why are you seeking A31 system boards..?
why not just buy an entire A31p..? used..

Well, I 'll take 2x A31P's in good health, too

Hello Bill,

nice to hear from You... Do You have used A31P at a reasonable price for sale?

(I 'm still conservative... in the sense of the word. I had my A31P upgraded to 2,6Ghz and 2GB of memory and I enjoy being able to repair it with the help of IBM's manuals, parts service and the knowledge that is collected at your website. Nevertheless it is true, that it may well be cheaper taking a new/used one)

Thank You for Your advice, a happy New Year to You and Your family, no hurricanes to hurt You

Sincerely Yours
