Can I get the real deal on adding internal bluetooth?

#1 Post by dougw03 » Thu Dec 28, 2006 7:34 pm

Okay, so I have been researching this quite a bit and I keep hearing different stories about adding bluetooth to z60t. So basically if I want my machine to have fully functioning bluetooth with LED's and everything, I need to get
1. The daughter card
2. The LCD faceplate
3. The LCD cable

Do I need anything else? Lets say I don't care about the LED's, can I just add the card? Is there anything else to it? Also can someone tell me, does this or doesn't it void the warranty? THANK YOU

Also does anyone have a video or installation instructions?

I don't think you need #3. Once you put the correct card in the light works. You just need the clearplate to be able to see it.

Do you have the FRU of the clearplate?

The FRU for the Clear plate kit is at the bottom of the following link. A user in another thread recently reported that Lenovo did not want to send him a Clear plate kit, but instead wanted him to send the machine in. Yet other users in the past in the T4x Series forum have ordered the Clear plate kit without a problem.

Outstanding! Thanks!

So, I guess all I need is the card, and this plate (for my z61m), and it's ready to roll..?
