I read this article about DNS settings, and want to change my DNS settings to see if there is any truth to what is said.

I saw this on Cingular's forum awhile back. I tried it for my cellular data connection as I was having latency issues. I could not really tell a difference. In my case I believe the cellular service itself was the main problem. However, other users on the Cingular forum reported faster browsing speeds using Open DNS.

Depends. I disable DNS caching, put my ISP's DNS (there's usually two DNS entries) into my router config, and use a custom Hosts file to block ads. Everything is much faster.bigtiger wrote:Just tried. No perceived speed-up. I guess the DNS cache with XP can do the same trick, right?
