"ThinkPad Mover" program- anyone seen it?
Has anyone seen the ThinkPad Mover program? It's silly but it looked like a good 5 minutes of excitement...does anyone have the program or know where to find it? Google is starting to frustrate me.

Could someone enlighten me, is this just for visual fun or does this do something important? I was under the impression I was never to tilt or suddenly move my Thinkpad while it was running, the shift could damage the HD. I'm not dissing this program, I'm just trying to learn. Thanks in advance.

Unfortunately, you and I, we didn't make the cut. The sudden motion sensor is for the newer ThinkPads that got manufactured from 2003 onwards.Purcy wrote:Could someone enlighten me, is this just for visual fun or does this do something important? You are right in suddent tilk and move. Putting it to standby, before I pick up my TP, I wait for that "beep" so the hard drive head is parked and the crescent light comes on. Though it is very unlikely we can damage a reading/writing hard drive with the amount of shock we can give, just to feel safe I wait for all activity to cease.
Oh, Purcy, and for some of us "visual fun" is something very, very important

Musti I'm with you on that; part of my geekness training is the thrill I get when I sit in the dark with my ThinkLight on!!Musti wrote:Oh, Purcy, and for some of us "visual fun" is something very, very important
