Upgrade from 802.11a/b/g to 802.11a/b/g/n

#1 Post by srirams » Tue Jan 02, 2007 11:28 pm

While reading the hardware maintenance manual I noticed that the internal mini pci-e 802.11n card requires 3 (antenna) wires, while the 802.11a/b/g cards only require 2. Anyone know why, and how easy would it be to upgrade a z61t with 802.11abg to (internal) 802.11n?

for my z61t you just need fru 93P4353. It does require taking the laptop apart pretty significantly though. Interestingly it doesn't look like you can have both WWAN and 802.11n at the same time (they both use the same antenna)
