ethernet and modem problem in transnote

recently I got a transnote, then upgrade the hard drive. Reinstall the systems( very tough job). then I find out there is no ethernet and modem in w2k, use pc doctor to scan, cann't find the hardware. And then I open the mini pci cover, there is no pci card in it.

anybody can tell me does itransnote must have mini pci combo card to have ethernet and modem function? or it come with ethernet and modem originally, doesn't need a mini pci card?
