Help Required, run 1802 but wont recognise original 2100card

Guys

I installed an atheros card into my mates T40 machine and ran the 1802 patch, the card works fine however when i put the original intel 2100 card into the machine it wont be detected, the 2100 card works ok in my T42.

HELP!

how did you verify it was not detected? give more details please.

after the 1802 patch the 2100 was not detected in device manager whereas the atheros was.

both cards are detected on a t42 so i know the cards arnt failing

the only thing i done was use the 1802 patch...

I'm not sure, but a BIOS update should fix this.

nope,

tried bios downgrade
tried bios upgrade
tried controller downgrade
tried controller upgrade
tried no power, no battery no backup battery

still has the same issue, ibm a/b/g card works perfectly in machine however more than one intel card will not even be detected, intel cards both work ok in my T42.

In the end ive just gave him my card and ive stuck in a generic atheros...
