Reset BIOS setup Password???

#1 Post by ludu35 » Wed Jan 03, 2007 7:17 pm

Hello all,
Just got a T41 from Craigslist, it is working fine, but there's a small problem with Password to get into BIOS setup. (seller didn't have one)

Is there a way to reset that password without calling IBM Tech Support.? If I have to call them, is it possible for them to help me remotely or I have to send the laptop in?
Please advice.
Thanks

The Supervisor Password is set and it is not easily defeated. It requires replacement of the motherboard. Since notebooks with the unknown Supervisor passwords are often hot (stolen), discussion of any cracking is not done here.
