T40 & USB numeric keypad

Hello,

I bought a T40 and the USB numeric keypad from IBM two years ago. The problem back then was that the Num Lock key shuts itself off at random times. Sometimes after three minutes. Sometimes after three hours. They had me download a ton of new drivers and the problem went away. Then last week, I installed an HP ScanJet into a USB port and the numeric keypad problem came back.

IBM had me download more drivers (currently, the keypad driver version is 4.3.43). And still the problem wont go away.

What do you suggest?
